The Last Working Day Of The Month: Issue 143

< issue 142 issue 144 >
(MJ Hibbett & The Validators FACT, January 31st 2017)

Hello all, and welcome to this NEW YEAR edition of the newsletter. We've got SHOWS, COMPILATIONS and ART to talk about this month, so let's get to it!

GIGS TO COME
Thursday 2 February - The King & Queen, London
Totally Acoustic with Ivor Game, Matthew Shepherd and Lilith Ai.

Friday 17 February - The Criterion, Leicester
Steve and I return for our NINTH Leicester Comedy Festival with a new work-in-progress show 'Still Valid'. Tickets HERE:

Check http://www.mjhibbett.co.uk/gigs/ for more information.

TOTALLY ACOUSTIC
This month's podcast, featuring Kyle D Evans and Tim Eveleigh (but not The Understudies, sadly, as my four-track didn't work for their bit - sorry everyone!) is available to download right now, right HERE:
http://www.totallyacoustic.com/podcast.php?podcastcode=59

The next show's on Thursday 2 February with Ivor Game, Matthew Shepherd and Lilith Ai. As ever, doors are 7pm for a 7.30pm start, with the whole thing done and dusted by about 9.30pm.

STILL VALID - THE SHOW
Steve and I are up to our ears in working out exactly what this new show is going to consist of - we think it'll probably be an hour of songs, stories and messing about featuring the songs from 'Still Valid', but the only way to know for sure is to come and see us on Friday 17 February at the Leicester Comedy Festival!
Tickets are HERE: http://comedy-festival.co.uk/event/still-valid-an-evening-with-mj-hibbett-and-steve/

ENORMOUS POP
We're HONOURED to have a track on a new compilation, 'Alan's Midweek Madhouse Presents... Enormous Pop Vol 1', which has been put together in aid of Radio Saltire in Scotland. As well as our song 'Leaping Hare In Broadgate', there are also contributions from PALS such as The Just Joans and The Thyme Machine. It's only three quid, which I reckon is well worth a go!

AND FINALLY
On Friday 3 March I'll be taking part in 'Acts Re-Acts' at Wimbledon College of Art. I'll be IN CONVERSATION with The Artist Tom Smith (he is a v good artist, also my brother) about superheroes, identity, and celebrities, and it is, I think, going to be ACE!

And that's enough culture for now - thanks for listening and see you next time!

Cheers,

Mark
