The Last Working Day Of The Month: Issue 123

< issue 122 issue 124 >
(MJ Hibbett & The Validators FACT, May 29th 2015)

Hello all, and welcome to this SUMMER STARTING edition of the newsletter. We've got gigs, albums, shows and podcasts to talk about this time, so let's get to it!

Hey Hey 16K at the York New Musical Festival, doors 5pm show starts 5.30pm.
Tickets available HERE:

Thursday 4 June - The King & Queen, London
Totally Acoustic with Ben Moor and Emma Kupa.

Saturday 6 June - The Stag & Hounds, Bristol
with Gavin Osborn.

Saturday 13 June - The Church House Inn, Congelton
The Validators at Going Up The Country, with The Catenary Wires, Colour Me Wednesday, The Just Joans and more!
Tickets available HERE:

Thursday 2 July - The King & Queen
London preview of Hey Hey 16K.

As you can see above, Steve and I are doing more previews this month as we gear up for the Edinburgh Fringe. Come and see us, it'll be GRATE!

We've had TWO recording sessions for the album this month, and now have all basic tracks, most of the instruments and most of the vocals DONE. Could we possibly have it finished this year? Stay tuned to find out!

I messed up the recording of last month's Totally Acoustic so cannot bring you the glory of Keith Top Of The Pop's set nor the inherently political rock power of me and Steve, but I DO have the wonderful sounds of Simon Love and A Little Orchestra for you, right HERE:

This month we've got Ben Moor making his long anticipated return and the Totally Acoustic debut of Emma Kupa, formerly of Standard Fare. It's going to be a FANTASTIC season finale - let's hope I manage to tape it this time!

Our own, our very own, Mr Timothy Pattison ("most important punk in the country" - Melody Maker) is back on the road with his old band Prolapse this month. Most of The Validators will be at The Roundhouse shouting for a drum solo, so if you're going we'll see you there!

And I think that's more than enough for this time - thanks for listening!
