The Last Working Day Of The Month: Issue 145

< issue 144 issue 146 >
(MJ Hibbett & The Validators FACT, March 31st 2017)

Hello all, and welcome to this SPRING edition of the newsletter. We've got SECRETS, SHOWS and SONG SELECTIONS to talk about this month, so let's get it done!!

GIGS TO COME
Thursday 6 April - The King & Queen, London
Totally Acoustic with Helen McCookerybook and Jack Rosies.

Check http://www.mjhibbett.co.uk/gigs/ for more information.

TOTALLY ACOUSTIC
This month's podcast, featuring Matt Abbott, Gavin Osborn, and some new songs from ME, is available to download right now, right HERE:

The next show's on Thursday 6 April with Helen McCookerybook and Jack Rosies. As ever, doors are 7pm for a 7.30pm start, with the whole thing done and dusted by about 9.30pm.

STILL VALID - THE SHOW
Steve and I will be taking our new show 'Still Valid' around some of the more DELIGHTFUL Fringe Festivals this summer. We've just booked our appearances at the Reading Fringe (Friday 21 July) and Camden Fringe (Sunday 20 August) and we should have dates confirmed soon for Buxton too. Full details, when we have them, will be HERE:

SECRETS REVEALED
Last month I mentioned various SECRETS that I could not tell you, but now I am happy to be able to reveal TWO of them. The first is that The Validators are BACK at Indietracks this year - we don't know what day we'll be playing or on which stage, but we don't really mind, so long as we're there!

The other is that I've signed up with a LITERARY AGENCY who are going to try and get my NOVEL 'Storm House' published - I can scarce believe it's true, but you can see PROOF on their website right HERE:

AND FINALLY
I was HONOURED to be asked to write the 200th 'Song For Ewe', a feature in Velvet Sheep fanzine where guests discuss an obscure song they've been listening to that day, and was DELIGHTED to realise that this meant I could talk about a song by the marvellous Mr Ivor Game, HERE:

And that's about enough for this month I think - thanks for listening and see you next time!

Cheers,

Mark
