< issue 158 issue 160 >
(MJ Hibbett & The Validators FACT, May 31st 2018)

Hello all, and welcome to this GDPR COMPLIANT edition of the newsletter. We've got RE-RELEASES, NEW VENTURES and GOOD TASTE to talk about this month, so let's get started!

GIGS TO COME
Saturday 2 June 2018 - The Centre for Computing History, Cambridge
Speaking on a panel for the 'Space Invaders - 40 Earth Years' exhibition - details HERE:

THE FAIR PLAY TROPHY
On Monday 11 June we'll be re-releasing the 2004 version of 'The Fair Play Trophy' as a single to celebrate the arrival of the World Cup. It'll be available on iTunes (and similar) backed with Frankie Machine's new 'Posh Pause' remix of 'In The North Stand', and on Bandcamp with the original version of 'In The North Stand' too, plus EVERY version EVER of 'The Fair Play Trophy' - all eight of them!!

More details will be on twitter (@mjhibbett) and the blog nearer the time, HERE:

20 GOLDEN GRATES
Related to the above, we'll be adding 'The Fair Play Trophy' to the download version of '20 Golden GRATES' for as long as England remain in the tournament. The download also comes free if you buy the (GORGEOUS) cassette version, which is still very much available to buy, HERE:

THE NEXT ALBUM
At our 20th Anniversary Gig a few weeks ago we announced that our NEXT album will be a collaboration with A Little Orchestra! It'll be a mixture of old songs and new HITS, which we're planning to fund with a Kickstarter campaign. It's all in the planning stages at the moment, but we hope to launch the campaign later this year, with a whole HEAP of goals, stretches, and LOTS of extras!

AND FINALLY
I've written an article for Velvet Sheep fanzine's 'Lucky 7' feature, where you choose six tracks by other people and then add one of your own. I think I chose RATHER well, but you can judge for yourself, HERE:

And I think that's about enough for this month - thanks for reading and see you next time!

Cheers,

Mark
