Songs: She's Dressed In Red
notes / gigs / releasesShe's dressed in red
She makes me shout "Oh yes"
You can tell that she's sophisticated
From the way she's dressed
Because she's dressed in red
She goes straight to my head
She looks so good she wears me out
And makes me think of bed
But then she makes me want to leap around
And burst into a song
She's gone a put a lot of rama-lama-lama-ding
Into my ram-a-lama-lama-ding-dong
She's dressed in read
And it really must be said
I know we're meant to be going out
But can't we stay home instead?
Oh if Mr Clapton came around
And saw the way she looks tonight
He'd say that she looked wonderful
And Eric you'd be right
She's dressed in red

This was written on spec to an advertising brief which I vaguely recall said it had to be about a woman dressed in red. With my knowledge of How Such Things Work I guess that means they couldn't afford "The Lady In Red" and were looking for a replacement, which in all honesty I must admit this isn't. Still, listening to it years later I think it was worth it just for the "rama-lama-lama-ding-dong" bit!
